TREATMENT
During electrolysis, a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle. A controlled electrical current targets the growth cells, after which the hair can be removed. Treatment is repeated as new hairs enter an active growth phase.
The method can be used on both small and larger areas and is particularly useful for blonde, grey and red hair, where light-based methods may have limited effect.
Ensjø Elektrolyse offers permanent hair removal by electrolysis in Ensjø, Oslo. Treatment is available for the face and body, including blonde, grey and red hair. Visit us at Gladengveien 4E.

READ THE COMPLETE GUIDEWHY ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis does not depend on pigment in the hair, so it can be used on hair that laser often does not detect.
Each hair follicle is treated individually, making the method well suited to areas where precision matters.
Treatment time, intensity and intervals are adapted to the area, hair growth and your skin’s response.
YOUR PRACTITIONER
Alyona Kurach has experience in both the beauty and healthcare sectors in Ukraine and Norway.
Before moving to Norway, Alyona ran her own sugaring clinic in Ukraine. She has also worked as a dental assistant in both Ukraine and Norway, gaining valuable experience in hygiene and precision.
In Norway, she provided professional sugaring treatments at Your Skin in Oslo. In 2024, she established her own business, The Sugar Touch.
In summer 2026, Alyona expanded her skills through a course and practical training in electrolysis with a Ukrainian training provider.
Today, Alyona runs both Ensjø Elektrolyse and The Sugar Touch. She puts her clients first and tailors each treatment to individual needs, aiming to make the experience as gentle and comfortable as possible.
Hygiene is one of Alyona’s highest priorities. Drawing on her dental-care experience, she takes a thorough, conscientious approach to cleaning, sterilisation and handling treatment instruments.
Her instrument hygiene routines include the use of a dry-heat steriliser, and she places great importance on clean treatment conditions and precise work.
HAIR REMOVAL METHODS
There are several ways to remove unwanted hair. The methods work differently: some give temporary results, while others are designed for long-term or permanent hair reduction.
At our location: Ensjø Elektrolyse offers electrolysis. Sugaring is offered by The Sugar Touch. The other methods below are described for information and comparison only.

Each hair is treated individually in the follicle with a very fine probe. The method can be used on all hair colours and skin types.

Laser uses concentrated light that targets pigment in the hair. Results depend on factors such as hair colour, skin type and equipment.

IPL uses broad-spectrum light and is not the same as laser. Its effect also depends on pigment in the hair.

Sugar paste removes hair from the root. The result is temporary and treatment is repeated as the hair grows back.

Wax removes several hairs from the root at once. Skin stays smooth for a period, but the hair grows back.

Hair is cut at the skin surface. It is quick and simple, but short-lived because the root is not removed.

An epilator mechanically pulls multiple hairs out by the root. Results last longer than shaving, but are not permanent.

Hair is pulled out by the root individually or with thread. These methods are often used on small areas and are temporary.

Chemical ingredients dissolve the hair shaft at or near the skin surface. The effect is temporary.
